I felt like I was in safe hands, I am very happy with the treatment I have been provided with. I was fortunate enough to get an emergency appointment on the day, and have since had a check up. Extremely professional set up with friendly staff and knowledgeable, competent dentists and assistants.

Excellent emergency treatment. Options clearly explained leading to root canal treatment undertaken calmly and pain free! Follow up treatment scheduled with advice on how to manage any problems in the interim period.
Jack is a brilliant dentist. I feel safe in his care regarding my teeth and gums and bones. I felt I really got my monies worth and had a very thorough examination of my teeth and mouth. He's a charming person too! I thought James Metha would be very hard to replace as he was superbrilliant too but Jack is definitely on a par! And both big Laura and Bradley (who I have been to), the hygienists are fabulous and thorough and gentle. So it's a thumbs up from me!
DR Acorn is frankly the best dentist I have ever had.. I have followed him to his new practise in Colchester where his outstanding level of skill, expertise and experience combines with a caring disposition and a mindset that always puts the patient first. Cannot recommend Creffield Lodge highly enough.
One day, My tooth suddenly broke, leaving the root intact in the gum! Went to consult Jack Acorn who has been treating my dental care at his previous dental surgery in Chelmsford. Managed to get an appointment and Jack extracted the root quickly and efficiently without much pain. He then advised me what to expect and do when I get home later. All went well. Thank you Jack.
I have always had a fear of dentists and honestly had neglected my teeth. At the age of 62 my top front teeth were very gappy and yellow to the extent that I hid my smile and my confidence too.Then a friend mentioned composite bonding and recommended Jack at Creffield. I took the plunge and made a consultation appointment.Jack listened to my concerns and did not judge me for neglecting my teeth. He explained the process of the journey I would need to go through to enable me to have composite bonding and roughly 12 weeks later the journey was complete.I can honestly say this has really given me a huge confidence boost and I can now smile happily without hiding away.Thank you Jack and all the team at Creffield. Having had a fabulous dentist for most of my years of having teeth, I was nervous when Jack took over. However on my first check up with him I explained about how painful the left side of my jaw had been for quite sometime, to the point I couldn’t concentrate. A theory and measurements taken I was given a night mouth guard. A month on and the pain has practically disappeared I am very grateful and Thankyou!
After decades of visiting dentists, the treatment that I received at Creffield Lodge Dental Practice was by far the best I've had.All the staff have been pleasant and professional and the skills and care provided by the dentists were exceptional.Each stage of the procedures was explained in as much detail as I required, and carried out painlessly!.Recommended? Most certainly.
It was my first time visiting this dental clinic and after not being with a dentist for years, Jack made me feel very comfortable and the whole experience was seamless. He was extremely professional and reassuring and dealt with the dental concerns I had. 10/10!
The contact with Dr Acorn was very pleasant. He has excellent staff with him too.However, I was not so happy being asked to sit on "the landing".It obviously helped with the efficiency of the process, but it is not a comfortable place to wait while contemplating about meeting your dentist.There were no distractions such as there are in the waiting room. I also felt unhappy about sitting beside a low bannister looking down over the stairs. A risk assessment might address my concerns.I would be quite happy to enter the dental surgery unescorted. That's what happens at my doctor's surgery. No problem.I look forward to hearing a response.
Visited today after being really anxious about going to the dentist.From the minute I plucked up the courage to make the appointment to going to the appointment I have had a lovely experience. Always anxious about visiting the dentist and especially as I hadn’t been for 2 years. Reception staff were welcoming as always greeting me by name. First appointment with Dr Jack Acorn. He was polite, professional and reassuring as was the dental nurse and I apologise for forgetting her name.I’ll never be happy going to the dentist but because it is necessary I’m happy to go to Creffield Lodge.
They are really so good specially a Doctor Jack ,first time when I came and seat on chair i was so stress and scared, he help me from then pain he explained to me what to do after my taken of out 3 teeth, i strongly recommended. Thank you to Jack and nurses they are so friendly and helpful.

No one likes going to the dentist but Creffield Lodge go out of their way to make it the best it can be. From the receptionists, to the dental nurses, and, particularly, my dentist, Rob, everyone is cheerful, welcoming, and professional. Laura, the hygienist, and her team, were gentle but vigorous. Very good service and expertise recommended, been with them 40plus years. Jack has done a tricky root canal for me and showed me the x-rays and explained everything in my second visit today, having it capped off with a crown in the new year. Well looked after by Jack and all his dedicated staff very Happy.Crown fitted today amazing job, Jack also fine tuned the height of the new crown to get a super feel and Bite, I also met Rob and was very impressed by both him and Jack.
Jack and his team were polite, friendly and excellent in all stages of my dental experience. I received orthodontic treatment which lasted for over 3 years. Jack was fabulous with his knowledge and treatment. I now have aligned teeth with a great bite. The changes have assisted my wellbeing, looks great and I now have better sleep. All treatment was cost effective and to a high standard. I highly recommend Creffield Lodge.
Having been mightily impressed with Rob Coster when he practiced in my home town of Dunmow, I now make the journey to Colchester to continue being treated by him. The practice has a very good feel to it, always welcoming, professional and efficient.
I have been a patient at this practice for several years. My experience has always been very positive. The practice has a relaxed atmosphere. It is well organised, is clean and tidy and is run by a dedicated team. Appointments are kept to time and staff are friendly, efficient, polite and always willing to help.

Amazing visit with Rob and his lovely dental nurse, Marie today. They always look after my very anxious Mum so well. Tooth extraction was very straightforward today, fully explained every step of the way. Mum has remained very calm and is in no way dreading future visits, which says it all... Outstanding!
